My biggest problem is that there is simply no creativity in movies with black casts at all. White people are 12 year old wizards, teens with crushes on vampires and werewolves, fighting blue people, talking fish and toys, and yet the best we get is a movie about the genteel south? Someone please make a movie about two black folks falling in love at a rock concert or a feature film about Storm from X-Men discovering her power, or something, ANYTHING, that goes beyond Black Pain (TM) / White Saviour (TM) movies. It took me all of five minutes to read up on some archives from Savannah’s blog, if that. In that short time, I was able to assess the facts I listed… mind you, facts I used arguing in favor of Savannah being given a “spirit of the holiday” kindness in my approach as opposed to my usual scorched earth policy in dealing with racists on Tumblr.
It took me all of five seconds to see what the YouTube link at the top of the page was about (the girl can play a piano like wow).
“Stalking” is digging through people’s trash and peeking in their windows and showing up at their job. Not re-blogging one of their Tumblr posts (TUMBLR, a site dedicate to RE-BLOGGING) and reading their public site because someone messaged you a link.
I think it’s far more creepy to be a 17 year old white girl on the internet calling people the “N” word and using it as part of your site name.
(But, really, STFU readers, I hope it’s not any of you sending her “kill yourself”/”you’re ugly” messages. This isn’t complicated, all we’re asking of her is to knock it off with the hate language. Don’t poison the well by resorting to a different kind of offensive language.)
Savannah, you troll people on Twitter and you make fun of people mercilessly on your blog. Don’t play the victim here. Tumblr actually has guidelines about hate language, so for the sake of your own blog staying online, you should change the URL.
